The Bantam Tools Micro-Machining Contest is Underway

Calling all machinists! Milling large pallets at top speed is impressive, but it’s often the small projects with fine details that are even harder to pull off. If you think you’ve got what it takes, then we invite you to try your hand at the Bantam Tools Micro-Machining Challenge. The deadline to enter is July 4th at 12:00 am EST and we've got some terrific prizes!

First Place Prize: Bantam Tools Desktop PCB Milling Machine ($3,200 value)

Second Place Prize: $500 Tool Package from Harvey Tool

Third Place Prize: $300 Gift Card to KC Tool

The task is simple: Use a CNC mill to machine a design of your choice no larger than a 1” cube. The only additional design requirement is that you incorporate the Bantam Tools rooster in some shape or form (download here). After all, our namesake fits well with this challenge—small but mighty.

Our judges include John SaundersBrittany Nicole Cox, and Ed Kramer!

Entries will be judged based on:

  • Originality

  • Surface Finish

  • Quality of Documentation

Winners will be announced on July 19th on our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook pages, so be sure to follow us—as well as #btmicrochallenge and #bantamtools—on Instagram and Twitter for the latest contest news and updates.
