CNC Programmer, Prototyping Engineer

We’re currently looking for a CNC Programmer/Prototyping Engineer. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to oversee CNC operations, applications, programming and design activities. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program, setup and run 3-axis vertical CNC Mills in a low-volume / high-mix workflow

  • Cut material, set fixtures, build tooling, run programs, deburr and finish parts

  • Machine complex components to tight tolerances in materials with tight deadlines

  • Use inspection and measurement tools to validate your work

  • Document and track of machine processes and results when necessary

  • Provide feedback to engineers, senior machinists and programmers on design and process improvement

  • Collaborate with engineers and fellow team members to provide input on design and manufacturability

  • Communicate with engineers, management, and other team members; verbal, email, direct message, and phone calls

  • Maintain equipment

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

  • Perform all tasks in accordance with safety policies

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects for Bantam Tools

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with programming

  • Must be well versed in 3 axis CNC machines

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings

  • Root cause analysis and problem solving

  • Experience with CAD/CAM, 3D Modeling

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a full-time position located in Peekskill, NY. Compensation is competitive, commensurate with experience, and includes benefits, paid holidays, and accrued paid time off.
