Event Recap: The Assembly Show 2022

This past week the Bantam Tools team exhibited at the 10th annual Assembly Show in Rosemont, IL. The Assembly Show (hosted by Assembly Magazine) brings together the latest technologies to help companies streamline their assembly processes, whether that’s using robotics and automation technology, software to help train and assure processes are done correctly, tools to eliminate waste and assist with lean manufacturing efforts, quality inspection technologies, or ergonomics.

Just like at IMTS earlier this year, one topic that’s top of mind for many companies is skill development and this is where machines like the Bantam Tools Explorer™ CNC Milling Machine and the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine come in. We’re laser-focused on creating hardware and software that offer companies the ability to bring prototyping in-house, as well as lowering the barrier of entry to CNC machining.

During the show, we demoed our new and improved Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine. Attendees who stopped by got to see our Rope Knotting Tool project being machined and had the chance to inspect this awesome finish for themselves.

We also met a number of incredible world changers and skill builders during the show, but there were two that stood out.

World Changer Award Winner: Unist, Inc.

We’ve been following Michigan-based Unist, Inc. for some time. We admire the work they’re doing, so it was awesome to meet them in-person during the show. With over 60 years of experience, Unist designs and manufactures fluid application systems that are optimized to use the minimum quantities of fluids, improves process efficiency, and is friendly to the environment by reducing waste. In short: They’re working tirelessly to create top-notch solutions that save their customers money.

Skill Builder Award Winner: Fanuc

25 million automation products installed worldwide. 25 locations across the globe. Over 1,400 partnerships with schools. Fanuc is a manufacturing giant that doesn’t need an introduction. But while many recognize the company for its cutting-edge robotics and automation solutions, Fanuc is also laser-focused on skilling up our workforce. They offer training and certifications for automation and advanced technologies for students, workers, employers, and educators.
