4th Axis Machining Has Come to Bantam Tools

The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine has been upgraded and is compatible with our latest release: the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory. This is one more way we’re able to equip our world changers and skill builders to be prepared for the uncertain. When we launched the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine, we imagined an entire ecosystem of specialized accessories that would permit users to tailor their machine to suit their needs. Between our fixturing accessories, Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Vacuum Accessory, and  Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Air Blaster Accessory, we have a lot of tools to offer our users—and that feels so good.

Now with the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory, you can expand your machine’s abilities and mill more complex parts. This accessory adds a rotational A-axis to the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine. If 4th axis machining is new for you, don’t worry though. We’ve developed this accessory to be a beginner-friendly tool. The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory is the perfect to help you get comfortable learning 4th axis machining.

We understand that flipping, indexing, and active turning of parts will be new to some of our users, and so to make the jump to 4th axis less intimidating, we have designed the expert-led Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Course. This course is conducted by Bantam Tools engineer Bryce Shannon who was the responsible engineer on the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory. Through this course, Bryce provides you with fundamental knowledge you’ll need to level up your skills and get the most out of your new accessory. Learn by doing while following along with Bryce. In this course you’ll mill a hex wrench handle holder. This project is great for getting you comfortable with 4th axis machining workflows.

NEW 4TH AXIS BUNDLES

To celebrate our launch, we’ve also put together some new bundles. The Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Skill Builder Bundle which includes the new Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory in addition to everything new users need to get started and milling in 3- or 4-axis within the Bantam Tools ecosystem.

For users who already own a 4th Axis Compatible Machine, we have also put together the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Education Bundle. This bundle includes both the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory as well as the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Course.

Since the launch of the Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Accessory, we have been delighted to see our users milling some incredible projects that would only be possible with a rotating axis. Dom Riccobene put his superb videography skills to work filming the hex wrench project from our Bantam Tools Desktop CNC 4th Axis Course. We have also seen cameraman, inventor and tinkerer Nate Galluppi mill a stunning handle for a camera gimbal out of lime green Delrin. Additionally, CNC machining expert Olivier Bellostas recently unboxed his Bantam Tools Desktop CNC Milling Machine and is working on a knife rest project that we are excited to see progress updates on.

We’re thankful to have such a creative, vibrant, and innovative community here at Bantam Tools. We would love to stay up to date on the latest projects you are milling. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and use the #BantamTools to keep us up to date.
